Mailinfo allows you to verify that your email messages have actually been received and notifies you when the message has been read. The program seamlessly integrates with Outlook and lets you track all or selected emails by simply clicking a button on the toolbar. It inserts a special tracking signature into the message, which also informs the user about the fact that the delivery has been confirmed, so there is not secrecy involved that could be misunderstood by the recipient. A new mail folder in Outlook enables you to review the status of all your tracked messages and also provides information about when and where the message was received. In addition, Mailinfo displays a real-time alert from the system tray as soon as your message has been read, and also notifies you of emails that appear to be lost, so you can choose to follow up. The program is very useful to determine that important emails actually get through to the recipients and have not been blocked by spam filters. People come to QuickBooks Learn & Support for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines: • Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English. • Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold. • Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link. • Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome. • Be encouraging and positive. Mail Schedule and ideas while Airman are at Basic Military Training. I played this as a demo a long time ago and it was great. I always am always eager to try the Alawar games here at GGotD. They always load and play well. This delightful character has several game types built around him and I think all are terrific. In Snowy:Lunch Rush, You use your mouse to click on various areas of a restaurant, sending a little bear hustling there to perform the duties of running a restaurant. He seats the customers, gives them menus, comes back for their orders, gives the order to the cook, picks up the order, brings the check and takes payment. Of course when the restaurant has lots of tables, and more customers - things get crazy and customers get irate and leave. If you don't make enough money to make the rent - well, you figure it out. As the game progresses you can purchase upgrades such as goodies to appease your customers or cupcakes for customers etc. All in all, a most amusing little bear that keeps me amused with an ever challenging progression. No wonder there's a 96% thumbs up. Thanks Alawar and GGotD. This is yet another wonderful gift I'll keep. Yaaaaaah Snowy! I played this as a demo a long time ago and it was great. All that counts is that you seat and serve everybody as quickly as possible or you will never finish that round *** Always seat the young boys first the young girls second. They don't have a lot of patience and keeping them happy while they are waiting is harder ****The VIP's should also be seated soon because Snowy playing the music does not add any hearts to them so unless they are seated you will lose them. I always seat the older ladies( they're not old but they are older than the kids) last because they take longer to decide order and eat so they throw off your game. They are the most patient while waiting ****Don't get caught up seating people as they first arrive, it could be a mistake wait until at least a few people show up and try to seat the same type of people at the same time because they will order and finish at the same time which will help you with making the chains. I've already bought it, so won't be downloading today, but I love reflexive arcade games and I hope there will more of them! For those not familiar with this game (or Diner Dash), it requires clicking through different steps in order to direct 'Snowy' (in this case) through seating customers, taking their order, turning the order into the kitchen, picking up the order, serving the customers, collecting the money and then cleaning the table. The ongoing primary challenge is doing it in enough time that your customer's don't go away angry and lose you money. The human brain is divided into three major parts: - The cerebrum (SER-eh-brum) – the largest part of the human brain. The cerebrum enables sensory perception and controls voluntary motor actions. - The cerebellum (SER-eh-BEL-um) – the cerebellum lies inferior to the cerebrum at the back of the head. It is mostly involved in coordination of movement and fine tuning of motor activities. ![]() - The brainstem - the brainstem is located at the base of the brain and is continuous to the spinal cord. It houses all nerve connections between different parts of the central nervous system. The brainstem provides innervation to the head and neck via cranial nerves. ![]() ![]() It also contains nuclei associated with important body functions such as regulation of blood pressure, respiration, swallowing, bladder control, sleep cycle, among others. On top of the brainstem, and sometimes classified as part of it, is the diencephalon. This page contains detailed description about this resource. Watch The Anatomy Lesson online on YouPorn.com. YouPorn is the biggest Amateur porn video site with the hottest gang bang movies! The main components of the diencephalon are: - The thalamus – the thalamus serves as a gateway relaying sensory signals originated throughout the body to the cerebral cortex. It is also involved in emotional and memory functions. - The hypothalamus – the hypothalamus is the major control center of the autonomic nervous system and plays essential role in homeostatic regulation. The hypothalamus links the nervous system to the endocrine system via the pituitary gland. It also contains nuclei involved in regulation of body temperature, food and water intake, sleep and wake cycle, memory and emotional behavior. The cerebrum consists of two cerebral hemispheres. The left hemisphere controls the right half of the body. The right hemisphere controls the left half of the body. The two hemispheres are separated by a deep groove called the longitudinal fissure. Each hemisphere has a number of folds called gyri (JY-rye) separated by grooves called sulci (SUL-sye). A major landmark is the central sulcus. The cerebrum has four major lobes. The frontal lobe is situated anterior to the central sulcus. It is associated mainly with voluntary motor functions, planning, motivation, emotion and social judgment. Posterior to the central sulcus is the parietal lobe. This lobe is mainly concerned with sensory functions of the somatosensory category such as touch, stretch, movement, temperature and pain. The temporal lobe is separated from the frontal and parietal lobes by the lateral sulcus. The temporal lobe is associated with hearing, learning, visual memory and language. The occipital lobe is located at the rear of the cerebrum. This is the visual processing center of the brain. At first glance, the two hemispheres look identical, but research has found a number of differences between them. This is called lateralization of brain function. For example, the language formation areas - the Wernicke’s (WUR-ni-keez) and Broca’s areas - are usually located in the left hemisphere of right-handed people. Lesions to these areas result in language comprehension deficits or speech disorders. The corresponding areas in the right hemisphere are responsible for emotional aspect of language. Lesions to these areas do not affect speech comprehension and formation, but result in emotionless speech and inability to understand the emotion behind the speech such as sarcasm or a joke. When I first installed this I thought it pretty good with decent sensitivity. Not having used it for a while but needing it shortly, I thought it a good idea to give it a quick check. Unfortunately something has changed as the app has become incredibly insensitive, so much so that even speaking right into the mic playback on max volume is barely audible. Another app I tried had no problem with sensitivity. Also, the Mic gain adjust control does nothing apart from occasionally changing the value from 1.0 to 1.1. Uninstalling/reinstalling made no difference. Best recording app I've found. Yeah, this is an good app. It does exactly what you need it to do and is simple. It has multiple selections for quality(which can save space if you use a lower quality), recording times, it has 'silence skip'(which works pretty well I personally used it to see if I snore or talk in my sleep; I don't luckily), it has an equalizer, you can select where you want to save the recordings (which surprisingly isn't an common feature. I'm looking at getting a security and home automation DIY system and I thought I had settled on Elk and ISY but after doing some more research, I think I might get more bang for the buck with DSC and Homeseer. All I require is something that is Z-Wave and Insteon compatible, very flexible (I don't mind devices with a learning curve if they can do more than the off-the-shelf products), and doesn't require the cloud (I'd like something that can connect to my own system to update and use apps and doesn't require a monthly service fee). Also something that might integrate with Sonos, but that may be asking a lot. Elk/ISY seems to be pretty pricey, but very competent. But I've also heard a lot of good things about Homeseer (and DSC is VERY affordable) but I grew a little concerned when I looked into it as it seems Homeseer mainly runs on a PC (not sure yet how it interfaces with the DSC and Z-Wave/Insteon yet). Not 100% sure I want to run my automation on a PC. The allure of the ISY is that it is on its own, rock-solid controller. I saw that Homeseer also sells hardware, but it wasnt clear on the functionality of each (seems each feature has an asterisk and comes at an 'extra cost'). I saw that the Homeseer software was on sale, so I thought I should decide on a compatible solution that meets my needs soon so I might take advantage of this sale if I choose Homeseer. Does anyone have any experience with the Homeseer software and the controllers and could provide some feedback as to which one would be better for someone who doesn't want to expose their HA to a cloud service? Does anyone have experience with both ISY and Homeseer to help me identify which would be best to meet my needs? I'd prefer features and functionally over ease of use. I have Homeseer with DSC. I am still working to get things setup, but I have the two talking to each other and the functionality looks promising. You will need the DSC IT-100 module and a serial to USB adapter to connect your computer to the DSC panel. I would get the BLADE DSC plugin for Homeseer and not the actual Homeseer DSC plugin. I can arm and disarm the alarm remotely. I hope to do things like text me when the alarm goes off. Turn/Flash lights in the house when the alarm goes off. Have lights turn on when a door opens to a particular room • • • •. And a serial to USB adapter to connect your computer to the DSC panel But I was wondering if I should really use a PC (unless it is FAR superior to the hardware Homeseer controller) as they tend to be.unreliable? I've got a Windows 10 file server in the basement that I could use.but the reason that it's now using Windows 10 is because my Server 2003 died on me. I can arm and disarm the alarm remotely. I hope to do things like text me when the alarm goes off. Turn/Flash lights in the house when the alarm goes off. Have lights turn on when a door opens to a particular room But the functionality you have is what I'm looking for. My question to you is, are you connecting directly to your Homseer server to run the scenes, or are you using a pay per month cloud service? Forgive my ignorance if this seems like an odd question, but it seems to me (from what I've read) that Homseer has a 'free' cloud service and a pay service to use. I'd rather use no cloud service at all. I have Homeseer running on a Windows 10 machine (old 2500 i5 processor even). Works great, haven't had any issues with it at all. I have DSC with the Envisalink DSC plugin and an Envisalink3 module. The Envisalink3 hooks your panel to your network via Ethernet and Homeseer communicates with it over the network. It's a little newer tech than the IT-100 suggested above. I would recommend just installing the free trial on your existing server and messing around a bit. You can try it out for a few weeks before the sale ends at the end of the month. I used it for 2 days before committing 100% last October. Best HA choice I've made thus far. From what I've read, they have a free cloud service and a pay for premium web service. It seems the free service is for one single user and the pay service is mainly for dealers or >1 Homeseer unit. One would be fine, but the whole reason I want to avoid a cloud service is for security. I'm a bit paranoid about someone else having potential access to my home automation/security by using a cloud service. Just seems like a large security hole. I'd rather have something that can connect directly to the Homeseer. Doesn't Homeseer support that as well? I thought I would go with Envisilink, but it sounds like they're essentially the same. Some reading if anyone is interested: I think it will essentially come down to cost. I'll get whatever is cheaper at the time as both have HomeSeer plugins. The only difference (as I'm not going to be using any cloud service) seems to be the connectivity (Ethernet vs direct). I'll be mounting them right next to each other so location won't be an issue (which is where Ethernet has it's advantage). Basically it's just an Ethernet adapter for the DSC. Like anything that is manufactured on an assembly line, an SDLC aims to produce high-quality systems that meet or exceed customer expectations, based on customer requirements, by delivering systems which move through each clearly defined phase, within scheduled time frames and cost estimates. Computer systems are complex and often (especially with the recent rise of ) link multiple traditional systems potentially supplied by different software vendors. All too often, the temptation in other life planning efforts is to move straight to planning. In the Paterson process, we spend up to 70% of our time getting clear perspective across every area of your life – your backstory, your current reality, your talents, your heart, and your thinking – and across every domain of your life – personal, family, vocation, and community. The FREE Life Planning Program offered on this website is a workbook style program that you can work through. If you don't think this system is right for. To manage this level of complexity, a number of SDLC models or methodologies have been created, such as,,,,, and synchronize and stabilize. SDLC can be described along a spectrum of agile to iterative to sequential methodologies. Agile methodologies, such as and, focus on lightweight processes which allow for rapid changes (without necessarily following the pattern of SDLC approach) along the development cycle. Methodologies, such as and, focus on limited project scope and expanding or improving products by multiple iterations. Sequential or big-design-up-front (BDUF) models, such as waterfall, focus on complete and correct planning to guide large projects and risks to successful and predictable results. [ ] Other models, such as, tend to focus on a form of development that is guided by project scope and adaptive iterations of feature development. In a project can be defined both with a (PLC) and an SDLC, during which slightly different activities occur. ![]() According to Taylor (2004), 'the project life cycle encompasses all the activities of the, while the systems development life cycle focuses on realizing the product '. SDLC is used during the development of an IT project, it describes the different stages involved in the project from the drawing board, through the completion of the project. The SDLC is not a methodology per se, but rather a description of the phases in the life cycle of a software application. These phases (broadly speaking) are, investigation, analysis, design, build, test, implement, and maintenance and support. All software development methodologies (such as the more commonly known waterfall and scrum methodologies) follow the SDLC phases but the method of doing that varies vastly between methodologies. In the Scrum methodology, for example, one could say a single user story goes through all the phases of the SDLC within a single two-week sprint. Contrast this to the waterfall methodology, as another example, where every business requirement (recorded in the analysis phase of the SDLC in a document called the Business Requirements Specification) is translated into feature/functional descriptions (recorded in the design phase in a document called the Functional Specification) which are then all built in one go as a collection of solution features typically over a period of three to nine months, or more. These methodologies are obviously quite different approaches yet, they both contain the SDLC phases in which a requirement is born, then travels through the life cycle phases ending in the final phase of maintenance and support, after-which (typically) the whole life cycle starts again for a subsequent version of the software application. History and details [ ] The describes the process for building information systems in a very deliberate, structured and methodical way, reiterating each stage of the product's life. The systems development life cycle, according to Elliott & Strachan & Radford (2004), 'originated in the 1960s, to develop large scale functional in an age of large scale. Information systems activities revolved around heavy and routines'. Several systems development frameworks have been partly based on SDLC, such as the (SSADM) produced for the UK government in the 1980s. Ever since, according to Elliott (2004), 'the traditional life cycle approaches to systems development have been increasingly replaced with alternative approaches and frameworks, which attempted to overcome some of the inherent deficiencies of the traditional SDLC'. This section needs additional citations for. Unsourced material may be challenged and removed. (September 2010) () The system development life cycle framework provides a sequence of activities for system designers and developers to follow. It consists of a set of steps or phases in which each phase of the SDLC uses the results of the previous one. The SDLC adheres to important phases that are essential for developers, such as,,, and, and are explained in the section below. It includes evaluation of present system, information gathering, feasibility study and request approval. A number of SDLC models have been created: waterfall, fountain, spiral, build and fix, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize. The oldest of these, and the best known, is the waterfall model: a sequence of stages in which the output of each stage becomes the input for the next. These stages can be characterized and divided up in different ways, including the following: • Preliminary analysis: The objective of phase 1 is to conduct a preliminary analysis, propose alternative solutions, describe costs and benefits and submit a preliminary plan with recommendations. • Conduct the preliminary analysis: in this step, you need to find out the organization's objectives and the nature and scope of the problem under study. Even if a problem refers only to a small segment of the organization itself, you need to find out what the objectives of the organization itself are. Then you need to see how the problem being studied fits in with them. • Propose alternative solutions: In digging into the organization's objectives and specific problems, you may have already covered some solutions. Alternate proposals may come from interviewing employees, clients, suppliers, and/or consultants. You can also study what competitors are doing. With this data, you will have three choices: leave the system as is, improve it, or develop a new system. • Describe the costs and benefits. • Systems analysis, requirements definition: Defines project goals into defined functions and operation of the intended application. It is the process of gathering and interpreting facts, diagnosing problems and recommending improvements to the system. Analyzes end-user information needs and also removes any inconsistencies and incompleteness in these requirements. A series of steps followed by the developer are: • Collection of Facts: End user requirements are obtained through documentation, client interviews, observation and questionnaires, • Scrutiny of the existing system: Identify pros and cons of the current system in-place, so as to carry forward the pros and avoid the cons in the new system. • Analyzing the proposed system: Solutions to the shortcomings in step two are found and any specific user proposals are used to prepare the specifications. • Systems design: Describes desired features and operations in detail, including screen layouts,,, and other documentation. • Development: The real code is written here. • Integration and testing: Brings all the pieces together into a special testing environment, then checks for errors, bugs and interoperability. • Acceptance, installation, deployment: The final stage of initial development, where the software is put into production and runs actual business. • Maintenance: During the maintenance stage of the SDLC, the system is assessed to ensure it does not become obsolete. This is also where changes are made to initial software. It involves continuous evaluation of the system in terms of its performance. • Evaluation: Some companies do not view this as an official stage of the SDLC, while others consider it to be an extension of the maintenance stage, and may be referred to in some circles as post-implementation review. This is where the system that was developed, as well as the entire process, is evaluated. Some of the questions that need to be answered include: does the newly implemented system meet the initial business requirements and objectives? Is the system reliable and fault-tolerant? Does the system function according to the approved functional requirements? In addition to evaluating the software that was released, it is important to assess the effectiveness of the development process. If there are any aspects of the entire process, or certain stages, that management is not satisfied with, this is the time to improve. Evaluation and assessment is a difficult issue. However, the company must reflect on the process and address weaknesses. • Disposal: In this phase, plans are developed for discarding system information, hardware and software in making the transition to a new system. The purpose here is to properly move, archive, discard or destroy information, hardware and software that is being replaced, in a manner that prevents any possibility of unauthorized disclosure of sensitive data. The disposal activities ensure proper migration to a new system. Particular emphasis is given to proper preservation and archival of data processed by the previous system. All of this should be done in accordance with the organization's security requirements. In the following diagram, these stages of the systems development life cycle are divided in ten steps from definition to creation and modification of IT work products. A ten-phase version of the systems development life cycle Not every project will require that the phases be sequentially executed. However, the phases are interdependent. Depending upon the size and complexity of the project, phases may be combined or may overlap. System investigation [ ] The system investigates the IT proposal. During this step, we must consider all current priorities that would be affected and how they should be handled. Before any system planning is done, a should be conducted to determine if creating a new or improved system is a viable solution. This will help to determine the costs, benefits, resource requirements, and specific user needs required for completion. The development process can only continue once management approves of the recommendations from the feasibility study. Following are different components of the feasibility study: • • • • Human factors feasibility • System analysis [ ] The goal of is to determine where the problem is, in an attempt to fix the system. This step involves the system in different pieces to analyze the situation, analyzing project goals, breaking down what needs to be created and attempting to engage users so that definite requirements can be defined. Design [ ] In, the design functions and operations are described in detail, including screen layouts, business rules, process diagrams and other documentation. The output of this stage will describe the new system as a collection of modules or subsystems. The design stage takes as its initial input the requirements identified in the approved requirements document. For each requirement, a set of one or more design elements will be produced as a result of interviews, workshops, and/or prototype efforts. Design elements describe the desired system features in detail, and generally include functional hierarchy diagrams, screen layout diagrams, tables of business rules, business process diagrams, pseudo-code, and a complete entity-relationship diagram with a full data dictionary. These design elements are intended to describe the system in sufficient detail, such that skilled developers and engineers may develop and deliver the system with minimal additional input design. Environments [ ] Environments are controlled areas where systems developers can build, distribute, install, configure, test, and execute systems that move through the SDLC. Each environment is aligned with different areas of the SDLC and is intended to have specific purposes. SPIU phases related to management controls The SDLC phases serve as a programmatic guide to project activity and provide a flexible but consistent way to conduct projects to a depth matching the scope of the project. Each of the SDLC phase objectives are described in this section with key deliverables, a description of recommended tasks, and a summary of related control objectives for effective management. It is critical for the project manager to establish and monitor control objectives during each SDLC phase while executing projects. Control objectives help to provide a clear statement of the desired result or purpose and should be used throughout the entire SDLC process. Control objectives can be grouped into major categories (domains), and relate to the SDLC phases as shown in the figure. To manage and control any SDLC initiative, each project will be required to establish some degree of a (WBS) to capture and schedule the work necessary to complete the project. The WBS and all programmatic material should be kept in the 'project description' section of the project notebook. The WBS format is mostly left to the project manager to establish in a way that best describes the project work. There are some key areas that must be defined in the WBS as part of the SDLC policy. The following diagram describes three key areas that will be addressed in the WBS in a manner established by the project manager. The diagram shows coverage spans numerous phases of the SDLC but the associated MCD has a subset of primary mappings to the SDLC phases. For example, Analysis and Design is primarily performed as part of the Acquisition and Implementation Domain and System Build and Prototype is primarily performed as part of delivery and support. Work breakdown structured organization [ ]. Work breakdown structure The upper section of the work breakdown structure (WBS) should identify the major phases and milestones of the project in a summary fashion. In addition, the upper section should provide an overview of the full scope and timeline of the project and will be part of the initial project description effort leading to project approval. The middle section of the WBS is based on the seven systems development life cycle phases as a guide for WBS task development. The WBS elements should consist of milestones and 'tasks' as opposed to 'activities' and have a definitive period (usually two weeks or more). Each task must have a measurable output (e.x. Document, decision, or analysis). A WBS task may rely on one or more activities (e.g. Software engineering, systems engineering) and may require close coordination with other tasks, either internal or external to the project. Any part of the project needing support from contractors should have a (SOW) written to include the appropriate tasks from the SDLC phases. The development of a SOW does not occur during a specific phase of SDLC but is developed to include the work from the SDLC process that may be conducted by external resources such as contractors. Baselines [ ] Baselines are an important part of the systems development life cycle. These baselines are established after four of the five phases of the SDLC and are critical to the iterative nature of the model. Each baseline is considered as a milestone in the SDLC. • functional baseline: established after the conceptual design phase. • allocated baseline: established after the preliminary design phase. • product baseline: established after the detail design and development phase. • updated product baseline: established after the production construction phase.
